Working with XPS Document | Python

XPS extension is associated with the XML Paper Specification (XPS), - an open graphic format characterized by a fixed layout based on XML.

XPS serves as a static page description language, akin to PDF. It uses vector-based markup and supports features like multi-stream work, encryption, and digital certificates. Notably, XPS does not support scripts, ensuring its reputation for security.

An XPS file is essentially a ZIP archive comprising pages of the document, document parts, and a folder containing relationships between pages. Interestingly, you can view an XPS file by simply changing its extension to .zip and using any archive software available on your device.

This section provides insights into working with XPS files using the Aspose.Page Python API solution. You’ll find articles here featuring code examples illustrating how the functionality operates.

To see how the functionality can be used in creating cross-platform application learn Aspose.Page Applications. There you will find XPS Converter, Viewer, Merger, and Signature application.
