Insert a Linked Picture from Web Address
Using Microsoft Excel
In Microsoft Excel (for example 2007):
- Click the Insert menu and select Picture.
- Specify the web address for the picture in the Insert Picture dialog.
Using Aspose.Cells for Python via .NET
Aspose.Cells for Python via .NET supports adding a linked image using the ShapeCollection.add_linked_picture(int upper_left_row, int upper_left_column, int height_pixels, int width_pixels, str source_full_name). The method returns a Picture object.
The following example shows how to add linked picture from web address to a worksheet.
from aspose.cells import Workbook
# For complete examples and data files, please go to https:# github.com/aspose-cells/Aspose.Cells-for-.NET
# The path to the documents directory.
dataDir = RunExamples.GetDataDir(".")
# Instantiate a new Workbook.
workbook = Workbook() | |
# Insert a linked picture (from Web Address) to B2 Cell.
pic = workbook.worksheets[0].shapes.add_linked_picture(1, 1, 100, 100, "http:// Www.aspose.com/Images/aspose-logo.jpg")
# Set the height and width of the inserted image.
pic.height_inch = 1.04
pic.width_inch = 2.6 | |
# Save the Excel file. | |
workbook.save(dataDir + "outLinkedPicture.out.xlsx") |
