Как автоматически подогнать столбец в диапазоне ячеек

Как автоматически подогнать строки для объединенных ячеек

Если ячейка объединена, то методы autoFit не будут применяться, что соответствует поведению в Microsoft Excel. Можно обойти это, используя API autofilter.
