Loading and Parsing MSG Files

This section explains how to load and parse Microsoft Outlook message files (.msg). The Aspose.Email API provides a MapiMessage class to load MSG files with several static loading functions for different scenarios. The following code snippets demonstrate how to load MSG files from file or from stream.

Load an MSG File from Disk

The following code snippet shows you how to load MSG files from disk:

Converting EML to MSG Preserving Embedded EML Format

EML files can be loaded into MapiMessage class by instantiating a MailMessage object and passing it to MapiMessage.from_mail_message method. If the EML file contains embedded files, use MapiConversionOptions.preserve_embedded_message_format to retain the format of embedded files. The below code snippet shows how to laod EML files into MapiMessage while preserving format of the embedded EML files.

The following code snippet demonstrates how to convert an EML file to an MSG file while preserving the embedded message format:
