System Requirements

Overview

To produce PDF documents, the machine to run Aspose.PDF for Java doesn’t need to have Adobe Acrobat installed as Aspose.PDF for Java itself is a PDF document creation engine. However in order to view PDF documents produced by Aspose.PDF for Java the machine does need at least an Adobe Acrobat Reader. It can be downloaded for free.

Aspose.PDF for Java supports any 32-bit or 64-bit operating system that runs the Java runtime including, but not limited:

Supported Java Versions

Aspose.PDF for Java supports the following Java versions:

  • J2SE 8.0 (1.8) or above (for example Java 10
  • Support of Aspose.Pdf for Java on IBM i (Iseries or As/400)
